We are so glad you’re on our website, and we hope to meet you soon. Below are some “Need to Knows” that should answer some immediate questions you might have. Feel free to browse around the rest of the website to learn more about us!

Who is the Lead Pastor?

Rev. Ivan Sevillano.

How is Heritage United Methodist Church different than other churches?

  • Heritage UMC is at the heart of South Los Angeles
  • Serving over 85% Latinos/Hispanics and 15% African Americans.
  • Serving those who need God in their lives.
  • We are a multicultural, multigenerational, bilingual church.

We are truly blessed to be equipped to be here for you. Giving priority to those who are less fortunate and those who truly need a Savior that is Jesus Christ.

What can I expect on the weekends?

As a bilingual church we hold two services: English and Spanish.

English Service at 11AM

  • Sermon given by Lead Pastor, Ivan Sevillano
  • English Worship led by Worship Team

Spanish Service at 2PM

  • Sermon given by Pastor Yakov Reyes
  • Worship led by Worship Team

Both of our services have very different dynamics which enables one to be able to experience several encounters with God. They carry their own uniqueness and can only be truly experienced when you attend in person!

What will my kids do during church?

  • Nursery is provided to children ages 1-5 years old.
  • Kid’s Sunday School provided to children ages 6-11 years old.

The entirety of the Children’s Ministry is led by Grace Francisco. As the head of the department, Grace ensures that all children are given the opportunity to seek God and find themselves through God’s love.
